ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball is back on the road this weekend to take on Wisconsin-Parkisde in a four-game series.

Series History

Missouri S&T and Wisconsin-Parkside are 12-12 all-time dating back to 2001. The Rangers were previously in the GLVC until the 2018 season when they joined the GLIAC. These two programs last faced in the 2019 season that resulted in a 6-4 victory for S&T. In Kenosha, the Rangers are 4-2 all-time.

About the Rangers

Wisconsin-Parkside sits at 23-12 this season with an 8-8 record in the GLIAC. They are 8-7 at home and go into this series on a four-game losing streak. They were swept by Davenport last weekend and outscored 45-7. Before that series, they took three of four games against Purdue Northwest at home.

Owen Brock's .455 batting average is second in the GLIAC, while Peter Fusek's .449 average is third. Dylan Sales' seven home runs are first on the team. Parkside's .323 team batting average is first in the GLIAC, while their 6.83 team ERA ranks sixth. Sam Mommer leads the starters with a 5.06 ERA.

About the Miners

Missouri S&T is 21-16 overall and 13-11 in the GLVC. On the road this season, they are 7-8. The Miners are coming off a 17-12 loss against Pittsburg State on Tuesday after their series split against Drury. In their loss to the Gorillas, Bricen Smith (Perry, GA/Mount de Sales Academy) was a double shy of the cycle with four hits, one RBI and four runs scored.

Will Beckham (Mountain Home, AR/Mountain Home) leads the Miners with his .391 batting average and .667 slugging percentage. Jake Schisler's (Quincy, IL/Quincy Notre Dame) 3.33 ERA is second in the conference, while Dylan Bates (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt West) is third with a 3.89 and Ethan Morrow's (Lenexa, KS/Shawnee Mission West) 4.04 ERA ranks fifth. S&T's 5.10 team ERA is first in the GLVC and .316 team batting average is third.

What's Next

The Miners will go to Upper Iowa next weekend from Apr. 25-27 to continue GLVC play. Their final home series of the season is set for May 1-3 against Lincoln.
