ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball is back at home this weekend to open the GLVC slate against Missouri-St. Louis.
Series History
The Tritons are 76-59 all-time against the Miners. In the 2024 season, S&T won three of their four games at UMSL. S&T has won 12 of their last 13 contests against Missouri-St. Louis. The Miners outscored the Tritons 21-14 in that series last season.
About the Tritons
Missouri-St. Louis is 10-5 this season and they come into this game on a five-game winning streak. They are coming off a series sweep against Walsh last weekend, highlighted by a 19-10 victory in the opener. In their latest 8-7 win on Sunday, Cade Grevengoed and Jake Isaacs both drove in three runs.
Barrett Rose leads the Tritons with his .382 batting average and a 1.114 OPS so far this season. He has 11 doubles to lead the team. Starter Zach Haygood has a 5.96 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP in 22 2/3 innings to lead UMSL. The Tritons were picked to finish in fifth place in the GLVC this season after they went 30-22 overall and 21-15 in the conference last year.
About the Miners
S&T is 6-3 overall this season following a 7-8 loss at Pittsburg State on Wednesday afternoon. Before that game, they played Truman State and picked up four wins. They outscored the Bulldogs 45-4 in that series. The Miners pitching staff yielded only four runs in the series for a 1.42 team ERA.
