ROLLA, MO -- Missouri S&T Basketball received six honorees for the 2024-25 Men's and Women's Academic All-District Basketball teams, with
Anna Finley (Owensville, MO/Owensville),
Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo),
Addyson Kent (North Vernon, IN/Jennings County),
Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville),
Ryan Sroka (Lake in the Hills, IL/Huntley), and
Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) all earning the honor.
Finley and Young, both First Team All-GLVC honorees, led their respective teams in scoring this season, with Finely averaging 13.1 points per game and Young averaging 16.7 per contest. Roberts was a key scorer as well, averaging 12.1 points per game as well as leading the team in field goal percentage at 51.9%.
Gum had a career season for the Miners, averaging 10.6 PPG, 6.1 RPG (team leader), and totaling 18 blocks. She ranked in the top 17 in the conference for field goal percentage, rebounds per game, and blocks per game.
Graduate students Sroka and Kent provided essential experience on the court this year, with Sroka starting all 31 games as a key role player and Kent ranking second on the team in made three-pointers with 45.
All six athletes were contirbutors to two very successful seasons, with the women's team making the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament as a six seed and the men taking the GLVC Regular Season title as well as earning the #1 seed in both the conference and regional championships.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
