ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball is back at home this weekend to face McKendree, with first pitch on Friday at 2 p.m.

Series History

Missouri S&T is 17-12 all-time against McKendree going back to the 1966 season. Their last series was in the 2023 season in Rolla. The Bearcats won that series 3-1 over the Miners. Before that series, S&T was on a six-game winning streak against McKendree.

About the Bearcats

McKendree is 2-16 this season with an 0-4 GLVC record. They come into this series on a seven-game losing streak following a sweep at Lewis last weekend. In their latest 9-14 loss at Lewis, Sage McMinn went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI. Four different McKendree players homered in that game.

Peyton Bittle has a .387 batting average with 10 doubles in 18 games played. Javy Garcia has seven home runs this season, tied for the third-most in the GLVC. As a team, McKendree is 11^th in the conference in batting average and 14^th in team ERA.

About the Miners

S&T is 11-7 overall this season and 5-3 in the GLVC. Over the weekend, they won a four-game series at Maryville 3-1. In game three of that series, the Miners put up 16 runs in the fourth inning, the most runs in any inning in S&T history. They won that game 17-11. In the 6-1 series finale, Tyler Prince (Mexico, MO/Mexico) and Nick Krodinger (DeSoto, MO/DeSoto) both hit home runs for S&T.

Prince leads the Miners with his .356 batting average and 1.220 OPS. He has four home runs and 10 extra-base hits to lead the team. On the pitching side, Jake Schisler's (Quincy, IL/Quincy Notre Dame) 2.01 ERA is second in the conference, while Dylan Bates (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt West) is third with a 2.75 ERA.
