ROLLA, Mo. – Coming off a series victory against Southwest Baptist, Missouri S&T Baseball is set to play Truman this weekend.

Series History

Missouri S&T is 61-42 all-time against Truman. They have won six of their last seven games against the Bulldogs. In their four-game series last season, S&T won three of the four games in Kirksville, Missouri. The Miners outscored the Bulldogs 23-18 in that series.

About the Bulldogs

Truman is 1-7 this season following two series losses at Pittsburg State and Rockhurst. They won their series finale 7-5 at Rockhurst on Tuesday. Tyler Tieman drove in three runs in that game against the Hawks. Truman was picked to finish in 12^th place in the GLVC Preseason Poll following a 12-38 season in 2024.

Dakota Joggerst leads the team with a .385 batting average and .891 OPS. He has 10 total hits this season, while Tieman has drove in five runs to lead the team. Starter Isaac Epp leads Truman with a 5.73 ERA in 11 innings pitched.

About the Miners

Missouri S&T is 2-2 this season following a series win against Southwest Baptist earlier this week. They defeated the Bearcats 8-4 in game two of the series before a 13-8 win in game three. In that 13-8 victory, Jackson Evans (Overland Park, KS/Olathe North) tallied four RBI. Will Beckham (Mountain Home, AR/Mountain Home), Denton Damgaard (Colorado Springs, CO/Cheyenne Mountain HS) and Garrett Meyer (Jacksonville, IL/Jacksonville) all homered for S&T. The Miners were placed in 10^th in the GLVC Preseason Poll.

Beckham's .545 batting average leads Missouri S&T. Tyler Prince (Mexico, MO/Mexico) is atop all starters with his 1.457 OPS with three doubles and a triple. Bricen Smith (Perry, GA/Mount de Sales Academy) has a .429 average and 1.072 OPS. Starter Estin McBroom (Monett, MO/Monett) has made one start for S&T and gave up no runs in five innings. He struck out six in that outing. Dylan Bates (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt West) is fresh off his GLVC Pitcher of the Week award and has a 1.69 ERA in two starts.

What's Next

The Miners will go to Pittsburg State on Mar. 5 at 3 p.m. Following that series, they will welcome Missouri-St. Louis on Mar. 7-9 to open GLVC play.
