After a slow first two innings for both teams, the Bronchos found significant success in the top of the third. They started the inning with a triple and two singles, giving them a 2-0 lead. A few at bats later, a homerun by the Bronchos' Emily Deramus brought in three runs, giving UCO a 5-0 lead.

The Bronchos kept the hits rolling in during the top of the fourth inning, recording a single and three doubles to double their score and go up 10-0. The Miners struggles at the plate would lead to a the game ending in the fifth inning, 10-0 in the Broncho's favor.

Washburn 9, Missouri S&T 3
Washburn got off to a hot start, recording hits on their first three at bats, giving them a 1-0 lead. An S&T throwing error and another single would extend their lead to 3-0. The Miners answered with three runs of their own in the top of the second, with Trista Grobe (DeSoto, MO/DeSoto) and Kaylee LaChappell (Oswego, IL/) recording singles to give them a 1-0 lead. A stolen base by LaChappell and a Bronchos throwing error brought another runner home to give S&T their second run. LaChappell would go on to steal home after the throwing error, tying the game at 3-3.

The Ichabods kept the runs coming in the bottom of the second, recording a homerun in their first at bat of the inning. They would add two more runs later in the inning, scoring off a passed ball and a single to take their advantage to 6-3.

The Miners would hit a scoring drought though, only recording one hit in the next three innings. Washburn continued to add on to their lead in the bottom of the fifth, scoring three more runs to take a 9-3 lead that they would comfortably hold for the remainder of the game as neither team recorded another hit.
