ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Baseball is set to begin the 2025 season at Missouri Southern on Monday at 2 p.m.

Series History

Missouri Southern is 52-15-1 all-time versus Missouri S&T. The last Miners win against the Lions was on Feb. 14, 2018, in Rolla. These two teams last faced off on Mar. 22, 2023, at home. The Lions won that game 15-4 two seasons ago.

About the Lions

Missouri Southern is 6-2 this season after they started the year on a four-game winning streak. Back on Friday, the Lions split a doubleheader with Drury. They won the first game 5-1 but fell in the second 3-9. The Lions went 44-15 overall last season and won the MIAA Championship following a 24-9 conference record.

Ethan Clark leads all starters with a .455 batting average through eight games. He has 15 hits with a 1.120 OPS so far. Of Brayden Luikart's 10 hits this year, he has four doubles, three triples and a home run. Cole Gayman is 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA this season.

About the Miners

S&T went 27-22 last season as they finished in ninth place in the GLVC. In the 2025 GLVC Preseason Poll, the Miners were picked to finish in 10^th place. They will welcome back All-GLVC Second Team player Jack Bell (Andover, KS/Andover Central) after he hit .395 with a 1.132 OPS in 24 games last season. Tyler Prince (Mexico, MO/Mexico) is also back for his senior season following a 2024 season where he drove in 47 runs.

Head coach Todd DeGraffenreid is returning for his 23^rd season with the Miners. He is joined by assistant coach Cody Gardner who is ready for his seventh season with Missouri S&T.
