ROLLA, MO  --  Missouri S&T steamrolled over the Westminster Blue Jays on Tuesday night, defeating the visitors 100-56. Cameron Stovall (St. Louis, MO/Vashon) picked up his third double-double of the season, scoring 16 points along with 10 rebounds.

Westminster's only lead of the game came in the first minute after the Blue Jays knocked down a three-pointer to go ahead 3-2. Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) and Zac Brown (Collinsville, OK/Collinsville) combined for 10 points in the following 4 minutes, creating a 15-7 lead for the Miners. A dunk and a triple from Young would spark an 11-0 run for S&T that put them ahead 29-11 halfway through the first.

The Miners continued to extend their lead late in the half, with Darron Henry (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Poly) and Blaise Beauchamp (Minnetonka, MN/Hopkins) knocking down three-points to make it a 21-point lead. Stovall would score six in under 90 seconds in the final minutes of the first half, creating the biggest lead of the first half at 53-26. However, the Blue Jays ended the half on a 7-0 to go into the locker room trailing 53-33.

S&T pressured Westminster early in the second half, generating turnover and create fast break opportunities. Seven different Miners contributed to an early 26-6 run that pushed their lead to 40 at 11:40 in the second. Henry had a strong performance in the second half, scoring 12 while going 5-5 from the floor including a pair of three-pointers. Jack Zarr (St. Louis, MO/Oakville) hit from three in the final minutes to give the Miners their first 100-point game of the season.
