INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has released its 2026-27 men's basketball preseason poll, with Missouri S&T ranked sixth.
The Miners received 136 points, finishing just behind Indianapolis with 140. McKendree narrowly edged William Jewell for the top spot in the poll, claiming nine of the fifteen 1st-place votes.
S&T looks to build on back-to-back seasons with at least 19 wins, a first in program history. The Miners return two GLVC All-Conference honorees from last season in Adam Rickman (Washington, MO/St. Francis Borgia) and Cam Stovall, along with key contributors Darron Henry (Long Beach, CA/Long Beach Poly) and Zac Brown (Collinsville, OK/Collinsville). S&T also welcomes several newcomers, highlighted by Mary Washington transfer Jadon Burgess (Harrisonburg, VA/Harrisonburg).
