Balanced Effort Leads Miners Past Ecclesia in 75–61 Victory

ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T men's basketball continued its strong start to the 2025–26 season on Wednesday afternoon, pulling away in the second half for a 75–61 win over Ecclesia at Gibson Arena.

The Miners (3–0) used a dominant defensive effort after halftime and a balanced scoring attack to remain unbeaten, outscoring the Royals 42–29 in the second half while holding them to 39.7% shooting for the game.

Cameron Stovall (St. Louis, MO/Vashon) delivered a standout performance, recording a 21-point, 13-rebound double-double, going 8-of-13 from the field and adding a block and a steal.

He was joined by Alex Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit), who posted 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals, hitting three of his four attempts from beyond the arc.

Adam Rickman (Washington, MO/St. Francis Borgia) added 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Blaise Beauchamp (Minnetonka, MN/Hopkins) finished with 10 points and a pair of made threes. S&T knocked down nine triples, with five different Miners hitting from deep.

Missouri S&T was disruptive defensively, forcing 15 Ecclesia turnovers and limiting the Royals to just six second-chance points. The Miners turned defense into offense, scoring 24 fast-break points and holding Ecclesia without a lead in the second half.

S&T also dominated the glass, finishing with a 43–37 rebounding advantage, including 13 offensive boards that led to key second-half scoring.
