ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T moved up two spots in the first National Basketball Coaches Association of America's weekly poll of the 2025-26 season released today, as the Miners moved from their eighth place ranking in the pre-season poll to sixth.
The sixth place spot occupied by the Miners is the second-highest ranking in program history, topped only by the No. 5 ranking the Miners held for two weeks last season. S&T is the only Great Lakes Valley Conference in this week's top 25, while undefeated Drury received votes this week.
Defending national champion Nova Southeastern, the top-ranked team in the pre-season poll and Washburn, who was ranked second, retained their spots at the top of the rankings this week. After Washburn, the next three spots are held by Daemen, Point Loma and Lubbock Christian.
Missouri S&T is 2-0 heading into Wednesday's home contest at 3 p.m. against Ecclesia and will also carry that ranking into Monday's GLVC opener against Lincoln in Jefferson City, Mo. The Miner wins came at Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 16 and in their home opener Saturday over Harris-Stowe.
