ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T ended the regular season with a 135-69 over Rockhurst on Friday afternoon.
The Miners started the day with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:29.09.
Oskar Fridsell (Solna, Sweden/Solna Gymnasium),
Jordan Christensen (Coralville, IA/Iowa West),
Oscar Iden (Oslo, Norway/Oslo Private Gymnasium) and
Adam Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) all picked up first place as they broke the pool record set in 2021.
Aidan Walters (Olathe, KS/Olathe East) won the 200-yard free, clocking in at 1:39.31. That mark also broke a pool record that was set back in 2016. Iden recorded a win in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.33. That time earned Iden a new pool record by .31 seconds that was set in 2015.
In the seventh event, Wiedemeier won the 100-yard free at 45.60. Fridsell posted a career-best 48.82 in the 100-yard backstroke to win the event.
Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West) earned his first victory of the day in the 500-yard free with a time of 4:41.38, a new career high. Christensen's 55.71 in the 100-yard breaststroke gave him a win.
S&T ended the day with the 400-yard freestyle relay of Fridsell, Walters,
Kevin Williams (Houston, TX/Westside) and
Gabriel Peragallo (). They broke a Missouri S&T pool record in the event with a time of 3:03.47. They broke the previous record of 3:04.40 set back in 2015.
With the win, the Miners moved to 6-2 and ended the regular season on a five-meet winning streak.
What's Next
The Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships are scheduled for Feb. 11-15 in Elkhart, Ind. The NCAA DII Championships are slated for Mar. 11-15 in Indianapolis, Ind.
