Miners-Tritons End in Draw After Last Minute Goals from Both Teams

ST. LOUIS, Mo.  --  Missouri S&T had their first draw of the season with today's match ending in a score of 1-1.

The score remained 0-0 for the first 84 minutes, until Brooke Bendoff (Kirkwood, MO/Kirkwood) scored her first goal of the season at 84:32 to give the Miners a 1-0 lead, with Haylee Prime (Lewis Center, OH/Olentangy Orange) providing the assist. The lead did not last long though, as the Tritons would strike back with a goal two and a half minutes later at 87:02, leading to a 1-1 draw.

The Miners out-possessed the Tritons in the first half, 54%-46%, but only had three shots to UMSL's seven. Although the Miners were out-shot 16-8 in the match, they took better shots than the Tritons did with 75% of their shots being on-goal.
