ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Basketball dominated Hannibal-LaGrange on Tuesday night by a score of 78-28.
The Miners went down to the Trojans early 5-2 after a three-pointer from Ivy Lesley. After they went up 7-6, S&T ended the first quarter on an 11-point run to lead 18-7. 
Morgan Luebbering (St. Thomas, MO/Fatima) had six points in the quarter.
S&T continued their run into the second quarter as they made it 24-7 to cap off a 17-point run. The Miners put up 26 points in the quarter to just eight points for the Trojans. 
Gabi Burgess (Bloomingdale, IL/Lake Park) had seven points in the quarter to elevate the Miners to a 44-15 lead at the halftime break.
 
In the third quarter, the Miners outscored the Trojans 21-11. 
Addyson Kent (North Vernon, IN/Jennings County) set the tone 11 seconds into the quarter with a three-pointer. In a two-and-a-half-minute span, Luebbering went on a 10-0 run herself to increase the lead to 61-19. The quarter ended with a 65-26 Miners lead.
Missouri S&T closed out the game with a 13-2 fourth quarter. 
Kiarra Kilgore (Galesburg, IL/Galesburg) tallied five points in the quarter for the Miners. They ended the game with a 50-point lead that held for the final score of 78-28.
 
Luebbering led the game with a new career-high 16 points and 6-for-8 shooting. 
Katelynne Roberts (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) had 10 points, three rebounds and one steal. Burgess and 
Norah Gum (Waterloo, IL/Waterloo) both picked up seven points. Both 
Chorus Davis (Kansas City, MO/Lincoln College Prep) and 
Bonnie Lew Ludlow (Indianapolis, IN/Covenant Christian) had six points for S&T. On the glass, Davis led the team with four rebounds. 
Ava Maner (Rogers, AR/Providence Academy) tallied five assists and Burgess collected four steals.
As a team, the Miners were 43.7% from the field and 22.2% from beyond the arc. They had a dominating 44 points in the paint, 34 points off turnovers and 32 fast break points. Their 47 bench points was also a season high. S&T forced 37 turnovers from the Trojans as they only had 11.
What's Next
Missouri S&T will take the weekend off until they play Emporia State on Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at Gibson Arena. The first leg of GLVC play begins at home on Dec. 2 against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m.
