KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Missouri S&T Women's Soccer fell to Truman State on Sunday afternoon.
In the first 25 minutes of the game, goalkeeper
Kristin Oliver (Monroe, NC/Piedmont) made five total saves. However, Emma Thompson found the back of the net in the 28
th minute to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Oliver made five more saves at the end of the half.
To start the second half, the Miners picked up three shots in the first six minutes.
Sarah Henze (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville) and
Jillian Pelger (Tulsa, OK/Bishop Kelley) were both saved by opposing goalkeeper Tatumn Damron. Midway through the half, S&T picked up four more shots, but they were all off goal. Julia Behounek gave Truman a 2-0 lead in the 76
th minute. The match ended with a 2-0 score as the Miners finished their last regular season road trip of 2024.
Pelger picked up three total shots with one shot on goal. Henze had the only other shot on goal for Missouri S&T. Oliver made a career-high 10 saves.
Anastasia Barcom (St. Louis, MO/Rosati-Kain) came into the game in the second half and made one save.
What's Next
S&T will play in their final regular season weekend of the season when they return home to play Southwest Baptist on Nov. 1 at 5 p.m. Their final regular season game is slated for Nov. 3 at 12 p.m. where they play Rockhurst.
