ROLLA, Mo. - The Missouri S&T men's volleyball team will close out its inaugural season on the road, visiting Maryville University Tuesday evening for a rematch at 7 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.

The Miners (11-9) enter their season finale on a four-game winning streak, the latest a 3-1 victory over Thomas More last Saturday which clinched a winning season for the Miners in their first season of play.Â

In the Thomas More match,
Nate Meyer (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) led S&T with a game-high 17 kills and
Brayden Kuruzovich (State College, Penn./State College Area School District) finished with 40 assists. Defensively,
Andres Hernandez (Bedford, Texas/Trinity) led the Miners with six digs while Kuruzovich led with seven blocks and
Caleb Rohlwing (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) contributed six blocks.Â

For the season, Meyer leads the team in multiple categories including 252 kills, 4.7 points and 3.8 kills per set and a team-high 43 service aces.Â
Aaron Sallade (Palatine, Ill./William Fremd) is averaging 2.9 points and 2.5 kills per set while contributing 148 kills on the season, while
Brayden Kuruzovich (State College, Penn./State College Area School District) has dished out 400 assists at a rate of 7.8 assists per set.Â

Defensively, the Miners are led in blocks by
Grogan Kraus (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) with 45 and Rohlwing with 39, while Meyer leads the team with 92 digs.

S&T hosted Maryville on Feb. 1, where the Miners defeated the Saints in straight sets behind nine kills from Meyer and three blocks by Kraus. For the Saints, Caden Klingbeil led the way with five kills and two blocks.

ABOUT MARYVILLE:
The Saints (10-15) will also conclude their 2023 season as they enter the match coming off a five-set defeat at the hands of Judson University last Saturday. Joe Nicometo led with 26 kills as David Fleischer had eight blocks..Â

Maryville is led offensively by Nicometo as he is averaging four points and 3.5 kills per set while adding 122 kills; Victor Ganev leads the team with 146 kills. Klingbeil is averaging 2.7 points and 2.2 kills per set while Jacob Fischer and Drew Rogers have recorded 138 and 137 kills, respectively, this season. Defensively, the Saints are led in blocks by Fleischer with 79 and Jacob Fischer with 73, while Cameron Chambers leads the team with 119 digs.
