KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Missouri S&T dominated matters Saturday afternoon, winning nine of the 11 events and posting several more finishes among the top three in various events to defeat Truman State 159-45.

Saturday's meet saw the Miners get two individual wins from Noah Clancy (Alton, IL/Alton), as he captured the 50-yard freestyle in 21.47 seconds and 200-yard backstroke in 1:54.49.  S&T also got first place showings on an individual basis from Martin Melinder (Upplands Vasby, Sweden/) in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:01.82, Nate Baxter (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles North) in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 1:57.57, Nolan Fergus (Aurora, IL/Marmion Academy) in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:55.25, Connor Wiedemeier (West Monroe, LA/West Monroe) in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.95 seconds, Marcelo Busch (Sao Centrano Do Sui-Sp, Brazil/Colegio Ateneu) in the 500-yard freestyle in 4:47.39 and Jordan Christensen (Coralville, IA/Iowa West) in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:07.99
 
The Miners' 200-yard medley relay team of Clancy, Christensen, Baxter and Fergus was victorious in that event in a time of 1:32.09, while S&T's 200-yard freestyle relay quartet of Aidan Walters (Olathe, KS/Olathe East), Mark Cavanaugh (Papillion, NE/Papillion-LaVista), Daniel Matlock (Peoria, IL/Richwoods) and Busch placed second in a time of 1:27.94.

Second place finishes were recorded by Sam Weber (Portage, MI/Portage Central) in the 1,000-freestyle in 10:23.63 and 500-freestyle in 5:01.25, Walters in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:43.15 and 200-backstroke in 1:56.28, Fergus in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.65 seconds, Connor Bichsel (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit West) in the 200-IM in 1:58.09, Greg Driesewerd in the 200-butterfly in 1:57.42, Baxter in the 100-freestyle in 48.11 seconds and Matlock in the 200-breaststroke in 2:09.81

Cameron McCrary (O'Fallon, MO/Fort Zumwalt West) had a time of 10:25.76 in the 1,000-freestyle to place third, while other thirds came from Busch in the 200-freestyle in 1:45.41, Jay Mercer (Kansas City, MO/Whitefield Academy) in the 200-IM In 1:58.11, Bichsel in the 200-IM in 1:57.87, Tristan Dawson (Brainerd, MN/Brainerd) in the 200-backstroke in 1:58.19, Lane Werth (Wichita, KS/Wichita North) in the 500-freestyle in 5:04.59 and Chris Sprenger (Shawnee, KS/Mill Valley) in the 200-breaststroke in 2:11.31.

Missouri S&T will close out its home and regular season schedule Thursday when it hosts Drury in a dual meet starting at 3 p.m. at the S&T Pool in the Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
