ROLLA, Mo. - The Missouri S&T men's basketball team has announced the dates for its 2022 Youth Basketball Skills Camp this summer. The event will be held from June 20-23 at the Missouri S&T Student Recreation Center beginning at 9 A.M. and running until 12 P.M. each day.
Players will learn the fundamentals and skills of the game of basketball as well as develop ideals in sportsmanship, leadership and citizenship. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability. An emphasis will be placed on the development of shooting, ball handling. rebounding. passing and defensive skills. Time will be spent on footwork, pivots, balance and proper positioning. We will have 8 ft goals for younger campers. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in free throw, hot shot, speed dribbling, 3v3 and 1v1 contests. 5v5 games will also be a part of daily activities. Prizes will be awarded for all contest winners.
All campers must provide their own basketball shoes and water bottles. Basketballs will be provided for use during camp. Please make sure all personal property brought to camp is property marked by its owner. Please do not bring anything of major value to camp that could be stolen or lost. Missouri S&T Athletics and Miner Basketball is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal property while at camp.
