SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A trio of pitchers from Missouri S&T's baseball team were selected to the 2019 all-conference team Wednesday night by the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while head coach Todd DeGraffenreid was named as the GLVC's Coach of the Year after guiding the Miners to a share of the conference's regular season championship.

Two of the S&T hurlers, Dalton Erger (Imperial, MO/Seckman) and Stuart Martin (Ajax, ON/Ajax), were first-team selections and reliever Conner Forsythe (Farmington, MO/Farmington) was named to the all-league second team.

Erger owns the fourth-best earned run average in the GLVC at 2.88 heading into the start of the GLVC Tournament, as he also possesses a 7-4 record and has struck out 70 hitters in 81 1/3 innings.  He has won his last four starts, including a win in which he threw seven scoreless innings Friday against Rockhurst and picked up five of his seven wins in GLVC play this year along with a win over nationally-ranked St. Cloud State earlier this season.

Martin, named as one of the two relief pitchers on the first team, has a 0.91 earned run average over 29 2/3 innings with 27 strikeouts.  He has a 2-0 record and a save this season, as he has allowed just three earned runs this season and none over his last nine appearances.

Forsythe, who was named a year ago to the All-GLVC squad as a designated hitter, ranks second in the conference with five saves and has a 1.29 earned run average on the year in 14 appearances.  He has allowed just two earned runs in 14 innings out of the bullpen and has struck out 12 along the way.

DeGraffenreid was named as the GLVC's coach of the year for the second time – he also earned the honor in 2016 – as he led the Miners to their fourth regular season title in the last nine seasons.  Missouri S&T was picked to finish seventh in the GLVC in the pre-season poll, but wound up in a three-way tie for first and reached the 30-win mark for the fifth time in program history.

Missouri S&T will take its 30-15 overall record into its GLVC Tournament opener Thursday against Southern Indiana (29-19), with the first pitch scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at US Baseball Park in Ozark, Mo.
