Lindenwood would get a run in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings to extend their lead over the Miners before exploding in the 5th and 6th innings.

The Miners would tack on one more run in the top of the 6th inning when Anna Burke (Edwardsville, IL/Edwardsville) singled down the right field line to being Olivia Young (Millstadt, IL/Belleville Township) home.
