Biography

2019: One of only two players to start and play in every game...Finished second on the team with a .297 batting average...Had 44 hits and 14 runs batted in in 148 plate appearances...Went 27-28 in stolen base attempts...Had two perfect hit games this season; 3-3 against Southwest Baptist (2/01) and 2-2 against Rockhurst (3/23)...Went on a seven game hit streak from 2/22-3/10...Went 4-4 in stolen base attempts against Quincy (4/20)...Finished 3rd in the GLVC in stolen bases per game...Fourth toughest batter to strikeout in the league and 38th in Division II...Named a 2018-2019 Geico GLVC Academic All-Conference Honoree

2018: Named to the All-GLVC third team after a season where she batted .446 to lead the Miners…finished second in the GLVC in hitting…had two home runs and 23 runs batted in while stealing eight bases…recorded 16 games with at least two hits which included a pair of four-hit games…had a four-hit, four-RBI game against Lincoln as well as a four-hit, five-RBI performance against Quincy…was one of three players with a game of at least five RBI during the season…had five games with at least three hits…finished the season as the owner of an 11-game hitting streak, the longest streak of the season by a Miner.

2017: Batted .340 in her first season at S&T and led the team in hits with 64, doubles with nine and runs scored with 39…had a triple, a home run (vs. Illinois Springfield) and 16 runs batted in…had a team-high 19 multiple-hit games, including four straight from March 17-19, plus back-to-back three-hit outings against Quincy and Truman State…had four hits and four runs scored vs. Walsh…committed only three errors in 238 chances in the field.

High School: Klein played at Staley High School in Kansas City, Mo. and helped lead the Falcons to a 26-6 record and to the 2015 Missouri Class 4 state title with a 10-6 win over Marquette...in the semifinal win over Fox, Klein was 3-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base...she earned first team all-state, first team all-region, first teams all-district and first team all-conference honors...she was also named to the Mo-Kan All-Star team and was selected to the Kansas City Star's All-Metro squad as a second baseman.

Personal: Daughter of Rupert and Lorraine Klein...majoring in computer science.
