Lewis' Courtney Sengstock tied the match up in the 63' when she got in-between the Miners defense and snuck one in past
Kristin Steins (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway South).
With less than six minutes left in regulation,

Kayla Crowder is the only Cardinal that has scored more than one goal this season; her two goals and 10 shots on-goal lead the team with six other players recording one goal. Kaylie Kappelmann has been the go-to for goalkeeping for WJC. She has 55 saves tallied in 695 minutes in goal.
The Miners have struggled in the past against William Jewell, going 3-5 against them in the last eight match-ups.
Last season when the teams met, the Cardinals scored the only goal of the game in the third minute of the match when Allison Malott stole the ball at midfield and fed it ahead to Kayla Crowder. WJC's one goal would be enough to capture the 1-0 win.
