ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T head football coach
Tyler Fenwick has announced that the Miner football program has added 28 student-athletes to play football at the university in the 2018 season. Players could begin signing national letters of intent, which binds them to the institution for one year, beginning on Feb. 7; the signing period ends April 1.
During the signing period, the Miners have added three quarterbacks, one running back, one wide receiver, four offensive linemen, two tight ends, eight defensive backs, three linebackers and six defensive linemen. Geographically, 19 of the newest Miners hail from Missouri, while the rest of the signing class includes three from Tennessee, two from Texas and Illinois and one from Oklahoma and Arizona.
Following are the student-athletes who are coming to Missouri S&T for the 2018 season:
KEELIN ANDERSON, DB, 5-9, 170, St. Louis, Mo. (Lutheran North HS):
Anderson earned first-team all-conference honors as a defensive back in the Metro Conference after he recorded 35 tackles and an interception in the 2017 season, while also averaging nearly 18 yards per kickoff return. Anderson plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Keelin comes from a great program in the St. Louis area," Fenwick said. "When we evaluated his film, we noticed he was a very good fundamental tackler and has a knack for blocking punts. He is going to develop into a player we can count on to get the job done on the field."

ALEX BAYLOR, DL, 6-1, 250, Rochester, Ill. (Rochester HS):
Baylor played on both sides of the football at the high school level, where he played for a state championship team in 2017. He had 28 tackles last season, including 5.5 for a loss, at defensive tackle. Baylor plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Alex comes from a very successful program," Fenwick said. "He plays with a high motor and has a love for the game of football. We are excited to have the type of player as Alex is."

THOMAS BOWERS-SHAW, DB, 5-10, 175, Cedar Hill, Texas (Trinity Christian HS):
Bowers-Shaw earned second-team all-conference honors and all-area laurels following the 2017 season, where he played for a state championship team at Trinity Christian. He was credited with 32 tackles during the season from his cornerback position and also had one interception. Bowers-Shaw -- the son of Terrance Shaw, the top draft pick of the San Diego Chargers in the 1995 National Football League draft and a 10-year player in the NFL -- plans to major in biological sciences at Missouri S&T.
"Thomas has incredible cover skills. He is a lock down corner with quick feet and great speed," Fenwick said. "He is a perfect fit for our program. We can't be more excited to get a player such as Thomas to develop through our program."

STEFAN CAMPLIN, DB, 5-10, 180, Raytown, Mo. (Raytown HS):
Camplin was named to the Suburban Red all-conference first team in 2017 after being named honorable mention as a junior. He had two interceptions last season and finished with 32 tackles in the secondary, while also recording big numbers in the return game. Camplin plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Stefan is a fundamental technician in the secondary," Fenwick said. "He will be able to play a variety of position for us, mainly corner, but has the physicality to play as a safety as well. Stefan has a way of creating turnovers as he had five interceptions on the season. He also has the ability to go the distance in the return game as well."

CAMERON CHESICK, DE, 6-3, 210, Rogersville, Mo. (Logan-Rogersville HS):
Chesick was an honorable mention all-region performer in Missouri Class 3 after also earning second-team All-Central Ozark Conference honors in 2017. Chesick plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Cameron is a long athletic defensive end that has shown he can get around the edge and get to the quarterback," Fenwick said. "He is going to develop into a big time player for us."

ADRIAN DAVIS, DB, 5-9, 175, Springfield, Mo. (Kickapoo HS):
Davis was a second-team all-conference selection in the Ozark Conference in the secondary and was among the team's top tacklers in the 2017 campaign. His parents, Adrian and Chris, both played basketball at Missouri S&T. Davis plans to major in biological sciences at Missouri S&T.
"Adrian is a hard-working, athletic, football player. He has big time leadership skills and he will be a great contributor to our program in a variety of ways," Fenwick said. "Both his mother and father are alums from S&T and we are excited to keep Adrian in the Miner family."

ETHAN GATZEMEYER, TE, 6-5, 240, Waynesville, Mo. (Waynesville HS):
Gatzemeyer was named to the Missouri Class 5, District 4 team after the 2017 season and was also a second-team All-Ozark Conference selection, as he played primarily on the offensive line during the past year. A four-year starter for the Tigers – playing at tight end for his first three years -- Gatzemeyer plans to major in engineering or biological sciences at Missouri S&T.
"Ethan is a long athletic football player who played both tight end and tackle throughout high school," Fenwick said. "He is an incredible athlete for his size and can't wait to work with him in his development. It's great to sign a guy who is right down the road from us and keep him in the area."

CHARLES GOLLIDAY, ATH-QB, 6-0, Caruthersville, Mo. (Caruthersville HS):
Golliday earned third-team all-state honors and was also selected to the all-region and all-conference first team at quarterback and also landed second-team honors as a punter. He threw for better than 1,700 yards during the 2017 season and accumulated over 2,300 all-purpose yards with 37 touchdowns during the year. Golliday plans to major in business at Missouri S&T.
"Charles is a very athletic quarterback who has the versatility to play any skill position on the field offense or defense," Fenwick said. "He has speed and quickness and understands the game of football. He has strong leadership skills in his experience as a quarterback. We will find a place on the field where he is going to shine. I can't wait to get to work with Charles."

RYAN HOLCOMB, OL, 6-4, 260, Troy, Ill. (Triad HS):
Holcomb was named first-team all-conference in the Mississippi Valley Conference following the 2017 campaign and also earned honorable mention all-area laurels by the Belleville News-Democrat. Holcomb plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Ryan is a dominant offensive tackle that plays with incredible athleticism and technique," Fenwick said. "He has a great ability to finish plays. We couldn't be more excited to have Ryan in our program and continuing to build our depth on the offensive line."

DEVON HUTSON, LB, 5-10, 210, St. Louis, Mo. (Ritenour HS):
Hutson recorded 125 tackles from his linebacker position last season, which included four quarterback sacks, to earn honorable mention all-conference honors in the Suburban XII South Conference.
"Devon is a fast and reckless inside linebacker that finds a way to get to the football," Fenwick said. "We are excited to have his athleticism in our linebacker depth. He is going to develop into a very good player in this conference."

STATON KING, QB, 6-1, 180, Bixby, Okla. (Bixby HS):
King earned District 6AII-2 all-district honors following a 2017 season in which he threw for 2,480 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior at Bixby High School, while adding 215 yards on the ground. He plans to major in biological sciences at Missouri S&T.
"Staton is a polished, athletic quarterback who can make all the throws on the field," Fenwick said. "He has great poise and presence in the pocket. His athleticism allows him to move the chains with his feet when needed. He shows great leadership and comes from a very successful program."

JACK KRISANIC, OL, 6-1, 250, Manchester, Mo. (Parkway South HS):
Krisanic played on the offensive line for a Parkway South tean that averaged nearly 250 yards per game on the ground during the 2017 campaign. Krisanic plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Jack is a physical offensive lineman," Fenwick said.

RYAN LANGFORD, TE, 6-3, 225, Phoeniz, Ariz. (O'Connor HS):
Langford was named to the Class 6A all-region second team following a 2017 season in which he made 34 receptions for 378 yards and four touchdowns. He had nine catches from that position as a junior for an average of nearly 13 yards per reception. Langford plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Ryan is a very athletic tight end who can do a lot of different things on the field," Fenwick said. "He can play on the line of scrimmage as well as opened up in the slot. He has a knack for finding the open area and getting open, as well as a natural ability to catch the ball with the athleticism to get vertical in the passing game. He will be a versatile addition to our offense."

MAX LIZ, DL, 5-11, 265, Lee's Summit, Mo. (Lee's Summit West HS):
Liz finished the 2017 campaign with 29 tackles and a quarterback sack, while also forcing two fumbles and was named to the Suburban Gold all-conference team as an honorable mention selection. Liz plans to major in business at Missouri S&T.
"Max is a big strong run stopping defensive lineman," Fenwick said. "He does a great job playing with his hands and playing with great effort. He will be a great addition to our defense and will add depth to our defensive line."

PAYTON McALISTER, RB, 5-9, 185, Decatur, Texas (Decatur HS/Florida Tech):
McAlister is transferring to Missouri S&T from Florida Tech, where he was redshirted in the 2017 season; he signed with the Miners during the December signing period. As a senior at Decatur High School in 2016, he rushed for 1,693 yards and 27 touchdowns and was selected as the Texas Class 4-4A Division I offensive player of the year on his way to earning all-state laurels. McAlister plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Peyton is a mid-year transfer who is a smooth big play running back," Fenwick said. "He has the ability to score from anywhere on the field. He is a guy that we can line up as a slot receiver and throw him the ball down the field as well. Peyton is currently enrolled in school here at S&T and going through our off-season program."

DANIEL McMURRAN, DB, 6-0, 160, St. Louis, Mo. (St. Louis University High):
McMurran was a second-team all-conference selection in the Metro Catholic Conference in 2017 after a year in whichi he recorded 20 tackles from the secondary. McMurran plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Daniel impressed us with his length and athleticism at our summer camp," Fenwick said. "He consistently made plays throughout the day. He does a great job playing the ball in coverage and is not afraid to come up and be physical in the run game."

MASON MIDDLETON, LB, 5-9, 175, Independence, Mo. (Fort Osage HS):
Middleton was a first-team all-state selection and unanimous first-team all-conference pick in the Suburban Middle Six Conference after a senior year where he finished with 113 tackles, including 21 for a loss and five sacks. He also earned all-area and all-district honors in 2017. Middleton plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Mason has great football instincts and is a very good fundamental tackler," Fenwick said. "He can be a dominate special teams player early in his career and will be a good fit in our defensive scheme over the course of his career at S&T."

MICHAEL MUEHLBERGER, DB, 6-0, 185, Blue Springs, Mo. (Blue Springs South HS):
Muehlberger was a first-team selection on the Missouri media's all-state team and a second-team all-area selection in the Kansas City area following his senior year, when he was also named first-team all-conference. He was in on 71 tackles during the year, including 42 solo stops and also had three interceptions and three fumble recoveries. During the 2017 season, he set a Missouri state record by scoring four defensive touchdowns in a win over Francis Howell, which included three interception returns and a fumble return. Muehlberger plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Michael is a playmaker in that he finds a way to get the ball in the end zone on both sides of the ball," Fenwick said. "Defensively he creates turnovers and scores touchdowns. He is fundamentally sound in his tackling and we feel his an intelligent football mind. Michael also played quarterback and consistently made plays and put the ball in the end zone. I think we are getting a complete player that is going to be a solid player for us."

EVAN RATERMANN, DB, 6-2, 190, Columbia, Mo. (Rock Bridge HS):
Ratermann joins the Miner roster after playing a key role in the secondary last year for a Rock Bridge that finished with a 9-2 record and advanced to the second round of the district playoffs.
"Evan has the ability to play a variety of positions on our defense," Fenwick said. "I would compare him to our very own all-conference safety
Bo Brooks (Canutillo, TX/Canutillo). Evan has the speed and athleticism to play safety and the physical tackling ability to play closer to the line of scrimmage to help in the run game. He has also shown signs of being a very good wide receiver as well."

KENNETH RICHMOND, RB-LB, 6-1, 180, Memphis, Tenn. (Middle College HS):
Richmond played on both sides of the football at the high school level and was selected to play in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl High School All-Star game at the end of the 2017 season. He earned second-team all-region honors as a running back, as he ran for 360 yards and three touchdowns last season. Richmond plans to major in technical communications at Missouri S&T.
"Kenneth is a big, fast football player that is very difficult to defend," Fenwick said. "He has breakaway speed and the size to run over defenders. He has the versatility to be able to do many different things for our football program."

CHRISTIAN ROBINSON, DB, 5-8, 155, Memphis, Tenn. (Memphis Central HS):
Robinson was an all-conference selection in the secondary and plans to major in biological sciences at Missouri S&T.

Robinson was named to the all-region second team as a wide receiver in each of the last two seasons and averaged better than 25 yards per reception as a senior. Robinson plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Rashad has the ability to catch a short pass and go the distance. He is a big play wide receiver," Fenwick said. "He is also a special player in the return game as well. He is going to add athleticism to the depth at the receiver position. We are very excited to have Rashad develop into a great one in our program."

JACK ROUSH, DL, 6-2, 240, Columbia, Mo. (Rock Bridge HS):
Roush was named to the all-district first team in Missouri Class 6 following the 2017 season as a defensive lineman and also played on the Bruins' offensive line as well. On defense, he finished the year with 39 tackles, seven sacks and six additional tackles for a loss. Roush plans to major in business at Missouri S&T.
"Jack is an aggressive, athletic defensive end that plays with a big time motor," Fenwick said. "He has a great first step and does a great job using his hands in his pass rush. Jack ended the season with 7 sacks on the year. He is going to fit right in with our defense."

JACOB SANDERS, OL, 6-6, 245, Ozark, Mo. (Ozark HS):
Sanders joins the Missouri S&T program following a season at Ozark High School where he earned honorable mention all-region honors in Missouri Class 6. Sanders plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.

Stamps earned second-team all-conference honors and was also named honorable mention all-region in Missouri Class 4 following the 2017 season, a year after being named honorable mention all-conference as a junior. Stamps plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.
"Duncan is a monster of an offensive lineman. He has the size and athleticism to play tackle or guard for us," Fenwick said. "He is a very good pass protector and shows quickness when he pulls. He is going to be a dominate force our offensive line for years to come."

McKENNAN STARKEY, QB, 6-0, 195, Troy, Mo. (Troy Buchanan HS):
Starkey threw for 918 yards and six touchdowns while completing just over 50 percent of his passes over the course of the 2017 season, while as a junior, he threw nine touchdown passes and for nearly 700 yards. Starkey plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.

TREVOR STEPHENS, DL, 5-9, 270, St. Charles, Mo. (Duchesne HS):
Stephens recorded 42 tackles and two sacks as an interior lineman during the 2017 season. Stephens plans to major in engineering at Missouri S&T.

JOE WILKINSON, DL, 6-1, 250, St. Louis, Mo. (Mehlville HS):
Wilkinson recorded 79 tackles and six quarterback sacks during his senior year at the high school level, earning first-team all-Suburban West National all-conference honors as a result. As a junior, he had 35 tackles, three sacks and a pair of fumble recoveries. Wilkinson plans to major in business at Missouri S&T.
"Joe is an aggressive defensive lineman and has a passion for finding the football," Fenwick said. "He plays with great effort and we feel that with his work ethic, he is going to develop into a big time defensive lineman for us."
