GREENWOOD, IN -- Missouri S&T Football's
Bentley Hart (Brookland, AR/Brookland) has been named First Team Academic All-America by College Sports Communicators. The Academic All-American title is one reserved for student-athletes who perform at an elite level in both their sport and the classroom.
Hart earns the honors after a season in which he was named Second Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), making if four consecutive season as an all-conference honoree for the senior defensive lineman. Hart garnered attention early, being named to D2Football's Elite 100 Watch List in August. He led the Miners with 7.0 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss this season, ranking fifth and third in the GLVC, respectively. His 3.77 GPA in the classroom earned him a spot on the CSC Academic All-District team on January 6th, leading to advancement to the Academic All-America ballot where College Sports Communicators across the country voted him as a First Team honoree.
