WACO, TX -- Missouri S&T football's long snapper
Graham Carter (Liberty, MO/Liberty North) has earned First Team All-America in the American Football Coaches Association release. He becomes the first Miner named to an AFCA All-America team since Defensive Back Will Brown earned the honor after a record-setting 2014 season.
Carter has been the long snapper for S&T over the past four seasons. His consistency and accuracy have helped make the Miners one of the top special teams units in the country, with punter
Logan Jacobson (Hillsboro, MO/St. Pius X) holding the best career punting average in school history and kicker
Layne Ryals (Louisburg, KS/Louisburg) earning recognition on the Fred Mitchell Award watchlist as one of the top kickers in the country.
Carter is one of three Great Lakes Valley Conference student-athletes on this year's AFCA First Team, being joined by Indianapolis' Gavin Sukup and Ryne Buttz. Carter has also been First Team All-GLVC the last two seasons and Second Team All-GLVC in 2023.
