ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's football team, fresh off completing one of the best seasons in school history that included a win in its first post-season game in 68 seasons, was honored Wednesday in an on-campus ceremony with a proclamation from Missouri State Senator Dan Brown.
Brown, a Rolla native who represents a five-county region that includes Phelps County, presented a proclamation to S&T head football coach
Tyler Fenwick honoring the Miners for their 10-2 season and victory in the Mineral Water Bowl on Dec. 1 over Minnesota State Moorhead. The 10-win season was the third in the history of the Miner football program and the bowl win was the second in school history; the other was a win in the 1950 Corn Bowl over Illinois State.
The ceremony was attended by members of the team and coaching staff, as well as personnel from the Missouri S&T athletic department and campus staff.
