Rolla, Mo. – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners continue its four match road trip with a non-conference contest at Lindenwood on Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. The road trip conclude this weekend with trips to Romeoville, Ill., and Springfield, Ill., against Lewis and Illinois Springfield.
The Lady Miners (0-3, 0-2 GLVC) are still in search of their first win after falling to Indianapolis 3-2 at home last Friday and at Bellarmine 2-0 on Sunday.
Kayla Foster (Sand Springs, Okla./Charles Page) has scored all three goals for S&T this season while
Chayse Richardson (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville) has assisted on all three of those tallies.
Liz Carrano (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) has played a majority of the minutes in goal and has a goals against average of .250 and has made 12 saves.
Lindenwood (2-1) opened the season with a 6-0 win over Minnesota-Crookston and then defeated Concordia-St. Paul 1-0 but lost in its home opener to Illinois Springfield 1-0 last Tuesday. Becky Roberts leads the Lions in scoring with eight points (2 goals, 4 assists) while Kyleigh Kristensen has scored two goals and added an assist for five points. Mary McGilvray has played every minute in goal posting a pair of shutouts and has allowed only one goal through three games and has made 12 saves.
On Friday, S&T will take on the Lewis Flyers in a 5 p.m. contest in Romeoville, Ill. The Flyers (1-3, 0-2 GLVC) have played four one goal contests this season. They opened their season with a 1-0 loss at Cedarville and then defeated Tiffin 2-1. This past weekend, Lewis traveled down to Kansas City to open GLVC play and dropped a pair of 1-0 decisions at Rockhurst and William Jewell.
Cali Havelka-Vanderplow has scored both of the goals for the Flyers this season while Hannah Weber has the lone assist. Jennifer Meyer has played every minute in goal with a goals against average of 0.99 and has made 23 saves on the season.
Illinois Springfield enters Wednesday's non-conference match against Judson with a mark of 2-1-2 and is 0-1-1- in conference play. The Prairie Stars defeated Findlay 2-1 in their season opener and then tied Tiffin 2-2. They then defeated 25
th ranked Lindenwood last Tuesday 1-0. Last weekend, UIS opened GLVC play with a 2-0 loss at William Jewell and then tied Truman State 1-1 in Kirksville.
Karisa Rogers and Meghan Delaney lead the Stars in scoring with four points each while Emily Matsen, Madisyn Coudriet, Kaylan Mills and Taylor Mraz have two points each. Courtney Johnson has played every minute in goal and has a goals against average of 1.10, has made 25 saves and posted a shutout.
