ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's basketball team will have a busy holiday weekend in front of it, as the Miners will play three games over a span of four days that includes an exhibition game with an NCAA Division I opponent and a matchup against a top-10 team in NCAA Division II.
The Miners will open up their week of play Wednesday night when they face Bradley in an exhibition game in Peoria, Ill., at 7 p.m.  The following day, the team will board an airplane to head to Riverside, Calif., for two games in the California Baptist Thanksgiving Classic that will take place Friday and Saturday.
Missouri S&T will face the host, seventh-ranked California Baptist, in its first contest on Friday at 9 p.m. (Central time), then wrap up the weekend by facing another Pacific West Conference opponent in Academy of Art the following night at 7 p.m. (Central time).
After losses in their first two games of the season, the Miners used a big second half Saturday to break into the win column for the first time with a 79-60 win over Robert Morris-Peoria.  Leading by two at the half, the Miners outscored the Eagles 43-26 over the final 20 minutes thanks in large part to the play of
Sebastian Ferenc (Zgierz, Poland/), who had 15 points and eight rebounds in the second half.
Ferenc finished the game with his first double-double as a Miner with 28 points and 14 rebounds and enters play this week leading the Miners with averages of 18 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.  Ferenc is also shooting 56 percent from the field and had five blocked shots in his first two games at S&T.
