Rolla, Mo. – Missouri S&T's women's soccer team plays host to Wisconsin-Parkside this Wednesday at 1 p.m. in its season finale. The Lady Miners look to end their season on a high note with a victory.
S&T went 0-2 this past weekend dropping a hard fought overtime contest at McKendree 1-0 this past Friday and then were defeated at Southern Indiana 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Kayla Foster (Sand Springs, Okla./Charles Page),
Taylor Vollmer (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) and
Chayse Richardson (Collinsville, IL/Collinsville) lead the team in scoring with six points each. Foster has tallied three goals on the season while Vollmer has two goals and two assists and Richardson has a goal and four assists.
Liz Carrano (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) has played over 600 minutes in goal making 44 saves and has posted a shutout.
Wisconsin-Parkside enters Wednesday's contest with a mark of 3-11-2, 2-9-2 GLVC. The Rangers snapped their five match winless streak on Sunday with a 2-0 win over William Jewell in their home finale. Emily DeVaux scored in the 18
th minute and then Maycee Kroening added an insurance goal in the 89
th minute.
Parkside has scored a total of seven goals this season with Kroening and Jazmin Castanon accounting for five of those. DeVaux and Andrea Eliason have scored a goal each. Adrianna Bratel has played all but three minutes in goal this season making 92 saves and has posted three shutouts.
