Women’s Soccer concludes three match homestand this weekend

Rolla, Mo. – Missouri S&T's women's soccer team concludes its three match homestand this weekend hosting Maryville on Friday at 5 p.m. and Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday at 12 p.m. the Lady Miners will honor seniors: Nicole Kelly (St. Louis, Mo./Rosati-Kain), Amalia Tettambel (St. Louis, Mo./Visitation), Riley Cronin (Albuquerque, N. M./Sandia Prep) and Madison Morris (Tulsa, Okla./Edison) before the start of Sunday's contest.

S&T (0-11, 0-9 GLVC) dropped a hard fought game against Drury in its last outing despite outshooting the Panthers 15-8 in the contest and recording six corner kicks to none for Drury. Carli Tastad (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) recorded a season-high six shots in the contest and put two of those on goal while Morgan Sikora (Highland, Ill./Highland) added three shots with one of those being on goal.

Maryville enters Friday's contest with a mark of 7-3-2, 6-2-2 in GLVC play. The Saints had their five match unbeaten streak snapped on Sunday in a 3-1 loss to Drury at Maryville Field. Friday's match is the start of a three game road trip for Maryville.

The Saints are led in scoring by Alex Johnson and Allison Verville with 12 points each. Johnson has scored six goals while Verville has scored three goals and has assisted on six others. Caite Huesgen has recorded 10 points on four goals and two assists. Alison Riddle has played a majority of the minutes in goal this season registering a 0.89 goals against average, has made 51 saves and posted three shutouts.

Missouri-St. Louis heads into Friday's match at Drury with a record 3-6-3, 2-6-2 GLVC after going 1-0-1 last weekend. The Tritons played to a 1-1 double overtime draw against William Jewell last Friday and then defeated Rockhurst 1-0 this past Sunday.

Lexi Norton leads UMSL in scoring with three goals and six points. Rose Crabtree, Emily Mosier, Jordyn White, Ally Milnes and Erynn Little have scored a goal each. McKenzie DeRouen and Amber Hayes have played a majority of the minutes in goal this season. DeRouen is giving up 0.83 GAA and has made 15 saves while Hayes has a goals against average of 1.12, has made 35 saves and posted two shutouts.
