S&T continues road trip at Quincy and Truman this weekend

Rolla, Mo. – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners continue its four game road trip traveling to Quincy and Truman State this weekend. The Lady Miners take on Quincy at 5 p.m. on Friday and then conclude their road trip with a 12 p.m. match at Truman State on Sunday.

S&T (1-3, 1-2 GLVC) looks to bounce back after a pair of losses at Wisconsin-Parkside and Lewis last weekend. The Lady Miners have scored in all four games and have scored multiple goals in three of those contests. Julie Bride (Stilwell, Kan./St. Thomas Aquinas) and Kayla Foster (Sand Springs, Okla./Charles Page) lead the scoring attack with two goals each with five other players having a goal apiece. Karen Nightingale (Ellisville, Mo./Marquette) has played every minute in goal making 15 saves.

Quincy has gotten off to a slow start this season going 1-3-2, 1-2-1 GLVC but did snap a three game losing streak last Friday with a 2-0 win over Southern Indiana. The Hawks then tied Bellarmine 1-1 in double OT getting the tying goal 0:36 after the Knights took the lead.

Quincy has been held to just four goals through their first six contests but have only allowed five on the year. Abby Pulliam leads the squad in scoring with four points (1 goal, two assists) while Mackenzie Rief, Alex Severino, Gabby Herrick and Allison Diekmann have two points each.  Megan Swanson has played every minute in goal this season making 23 saves, has a goals against average of 0.78 and has posted one shutout.

Truman State enters Friday's contest against Drury having won five straight since opening the season with a 1-1 draw against Ashland. The Bulldogs have outscored their opponents 7-0 during their winning streak highlighted by a 3-0 win over Southern Indiana on Sunday.

Delaney Kooken leads the 'Dogs in scoring with six points (three goals) while Allison Lockett has tallied five points (1g, 3a) and Kelsey Murphy has scored two goals for four points. Katie Mattingly has played every minute in goal and has not allowed a goal in nearly 533 minutes. She's posted a goals against average of 0.16, made 15 saves and has posted five shutouts.
