Rolla, Mo. – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners women's soccer team begins a four-game road starting at Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday afternoon. S&T looks to build off its 3-2 overtime win on Sunday against Indianapolis which also snapped a 16 game winless streak.

The Lady Miners (1-1, 1-0 GLVC) bounced back from their season opening defeat to Lindenwood last Tuesday with an impressive win on Sunday. S&T scored two goals midway through the first half but the Greyhounds countered with two in the second half to tie it and force the extra session. Leah Camery (Anchorage, Alaska/Steller Secondary School) ended the game 5:03 into overtime off a cross field service from Carli Tastad (Belleville, Ill./Belleville West) for her first goal of the year.

The Lady Miners have spread the wealth offensively in their first two games with five players registering a goal and an assist. Camery, Tastad, Mikaela Mockenhaupt (Oswego, Ill./Oswego), Julia Crets (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) and Anna Fink (Fulton, Mo./Fulton) have three points each while Julie Bride (Stilwell, Kan./St. Thomas Aquinas) has tallied two points. Camery, Mockenhaupt, Tastad and Bride have combined for nine of the team's 12 shots on goal. Karen Nightingale (Ellisville, Mo./Marquette) has played every minute in goal and has made four saves.

The Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers picked up its first win of the season at William Jewell on Sunday improving to 1-2-1, 1-1 GLVC. Before Sunday the Ranger offense struggled to find the back of the net scoring just one goal in three games before exploding with four goals against the Cardinals.

Lexi Porter leads the UWP attack with three goals on the season while Chloe Couves and Brooke Munroe have a goal each. Taylor Schiffer-Jander leads the team with two assists. Sarah Dobrowolski and Adrianna Bratel have split the minutes in goal with Dobrowolski allowing four of the five goals while Bratel has made 11 of the team's 16 saves.

On Sunday, the Lady Miners head to Romeoville, Ill., to take on the Lewis Flyers in a 2:30 p.m. contest. The Flyers enter Friday's contest against Drury with a mark of 2-2-1, 0-1-1 GLVC after getting shutout in both games last weekend in Kansas City. Lewis dropped a 1-0 decision at William Jewell last Friday and then played to a scoreless draw at Rockhurst on Sunday afternoon.

Jessica Chavez leads the team in scoring with six points (2 goals, 2 assists) while Meg Carmody and Payton Emond have tallied three points each. Jennifer Meyer has played the majority of minutes in goal posting a 0.97 goals against average, made 22 saves and posted two shutouts on the season.
