Andi Davis (Blue Springs, Mo./Archbishop O'Hara ) lined the first pitch she saw into left center to score Lawson and moved the winning run into scoring position. Shelby Michaelis (Bettendorf, Iowa/Bettendorf) hit a 3-2 pitch squarely down the third base line but the third baseman was there and stepped on the bag for the final out.
