Biography

2013: Lawson appeared in 35 games and made 28 starts...she hit .241 with 20 hits, 16 runs scored, 15 runs batted in, six home runs, four doubles and a triple...she finished the season with a slugging percentage of .530 and had an on-base percentage of .308...she was 3-for-5 in stolen bases...she had two multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games...she hit the game-winning home run in the first game of a doubleheader against Drury on April 24...she hit .353 as a lead-off hitter and drove in seven runs with two outs.

2012: Lawson appeared in 35 games with six starts as a freshman...she had five hits, a double, a home run, two RBIs and 11 runs scored...she hit her first collegiate home run at Illinois Springfield on March 17 in the second game of the doubleheader...she scored two runs against Lincoln in game two on March 27...she had a career-high two hits at William Jewell on April 21.

High School: Lawson, catcher and outfielder, played at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Mo., for head coach Scott DeNoyer. As a freshman, she was a member of the Lancer team that won the 2007 Missouri Class 4 State Championship. Lawson was a two-time first team Suburban West All-Conference outfielder her junior and senior years. She was a second team all-conference selection in the outfield as a sophomore. She earned the team's Rookie of the Year award in 2007, the “Super Slugger”, and “Lancer Award” in 2009 and 2010 and earned this past season was named the program's most valuable player.

Personal: Daughter of Lory and Jon Lawson...majoring in biological sciences.
