Box Score (Aurora, Ill.) – The Missouri S&T volleyball team fell to Ashland
3-0 (17-25, 20-25, 17-25) in the finale of the 2013 GLVC/GLIAC Crossover on Saturday afternoon at the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, Ill.
The Miners saw their record fall to 12-12 struggled to get into offensive rhythm for the second straight as they were held to a .089 attack percentage (29k/18e/123ta).
Alison Mueller (Bartelso, Ill./Mater Dei ) led the way with eight kills while
Gracey Moon (Kirkwood, Mo./Kirkwood) finished with seven kills.
Allie Plunk (Hurst, Texas/Birdville) dished out 13 assists while
Caitlin Brocker (Crystal Lake, Ill./Marian Central ) finished with 14 digs.
Ashland (16-6) finished the match hitting .230 (47k/19e/122ta) and was led by Alli Cudworth with a match-high 16 kills. Casey Clark added eight more while Maureen Johnson and Samantha Zuber had seven each. Shelly DeHenning distributed 37 assists while Marci Zegarac had a match best 18 digs.
S&T returns to action next Saturday traveling to Springfield, Ill., to take on the Prairie Stars of Illinois Springfield beginning at 5 p.m.
