ROLLA, Mo. -- MissourI S&T's football team hits the road for the first time in the 2012 season this week, as it will play a rare Thursday night game against Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

The Miners opened the year with a 55-14 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State Saturday at Allgood-Bailey Stadium, racing out to a 31-0 lead just 21 minutes into the game to win back-to-back season openers for the first time since 2004-05.  S&T will now look for wins in its first two games of a season, something that hasn't happened since 2005, when it faces the 1-0 Wonder Boys.

Arkansas Tech knocked off Bacone 16-14 to open its campaign, getting an interception in the final minute of play to secure the victory.  This will be the first meeting between the Miners and Arkansas Tech since 1934.
