(Rolla, Mo.) - The Missouri S&T Lady Miner basketball squad is ready to tip-off its 2012-13 season on Tuesday night when it travels to Lebanon, Ill., to take on McKendree University beginning at 7 p.m.

S&T returns eight letterwinners from last season's team which went 18-9, 12-6 in the GLVC. The Lady Miners have five new faces in the mix as well this season and are excited to get underway.

Tuesday's contest begins the 39th season of women's basketball at Missouri S&T and the Lady Miners have gone 24-14 in their previous 38 lidlifters including last season's 54-41 win over Park University on Nov. 17 in Rolla. Tuesday's game will be the eighth meeting all-time between S&T and McKendree with the Lady Miners holding a 6-1 advantage. S&T won last season's meeting 71-46 in Rolla on February 7. Julie Meyer (Marthasville, Mo./St. Francis Borgia) and Kyesha Hall (Dodson, La./) combined for 23 points in that game to lead teh Lady Miners.
