Box Score Somers, Wis. - The Missouri S&T Lady Miners dropped an emotional match to the 11th ranked Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers
2-0 on Friday afternoon in Somers, Wis.
The Rangers (9-0-1, 5-0-1 GLVC) scored both of their goals in the opening frame. The first one came in the 15th minute when Shannon Becker received a pass from Brittany Kaim and put in the back of the net. The second goal came on a penalty kick in the 40th minute off the foot of Meredith Novak.
Parkside controlled the match outshooting S&T (5-6-1, 2-5-1 GLVC) 8-1 getting four shots in each period.
Morgan Lockowitz (Trenton, Ill./Wesclin ) had the lone shot for the Lady Miners in the first half.
The match was a physical one with 17 fouls called and six yellow cards handed out, three to each team.
Kelsey Kurilla (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) made a pair of saves in her return to goal.
