Lady Miners fall at Bellarmine, 2-0

Box Score Louisville, Ky. - The Missouri S&T soccer Lady Miners fell at Bellarmine, 2-0 on Friday afternoon in Louisville, Ky.

The Knights (4-1-1, 1-1 GLVC) got on the board first in the fourth minute on an unassisted goal by Brittany Nakatani. Bellarmine added too its lead with a goal from Stephanie Wilson almost three minutes before halftime. The Knights out shot the Lady Miners (3-2-1, 1-1-1 GLVC) 11-7 with each side getting five of those on goal.

In the second stanza S&T tried to mount a comeback controlling play getting off 12 shots, 4 on goal, but were unable to get one by the keeper. After its two goals in the first half Bellarmine fired only five shots in the second frame.

Kim Morris (St. Louis, Mo./Incarnate Word Academy) fired four shots to lead the Lady Miners while Marci Bryd and Shelly Ekholm (Houston, Texas/Cy Springs) had three apiece. Kelsey Kurilla (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) had five saves in the contest.
