Thomas had a good weekend for the Miners competing down at the LSU Relays. He had a pair of top 10 finishes and narrowly missed a pair of provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA. Thomas finished sixth in the triple jump with a jump of 47-3 3/4 which was 0.08 meters off the qualyifing mark. In the long jump he finished 10th with a jump of 23-0 1/2 which was 1.3 meters shy of a provisional mark.
