Schranck placed third at the Mizzou Invitational in the 200-yard butterfly as he posted a time below the NCAA automatic standard of 1:50.89. He has already reached an NCAA automatic qualifying mark in four events and has provisionally qualified in a fifth. He has qualified for the national meet in the 200-yard butterfly, 200-yard individual medley, the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard medley relay. He has provisionally qualified in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.07.
