I chose S&T because of the great academic programs available and the opportunity to be a part of the Women's Volleyball team. I am currently in my first season at S&T, after spending a year at a separate division II institution. The beginning of this year has truly been an experience I won't forget. I am grateful to have joined such a welcoming, competitive, and loyal team. The chemistry on this team is unlike anything I have been a part of, and it is such a joy to be practicing and competing with this team on a daily basis. After 3 weeks of practice, this past weekend was the first weekend of competition for the team. We ended up with a 2-2 record for the weekend, but I know that this team has the competitive edge it takes to have an extremely successful season overall. As a result of this weekend, I was awarded as the GLVC defensive player of the week. I am truly grateful for this award and am grateful that my team has done everything possible to help me achieve this. I was also selected as a part of the Reddie-Tiger Invitational all-tournament team alongside Alina Carillo. I am so proud of this team and cannot wait to see what the rest of the season holds for us.
