2007: Played in 34 matches and 113 games as an outside hitter…Recorded 424 kills, 469.5 points, 1,227 attack attempts and an attack percentage of .185 (424k-191e-1,257a), finishing first on the team in all four categories…Registered season and career-highs at Kentucky Wesleyan on 9/29/07 in kills (26), service aces (3) and attack percentage (.392, 26k-6e-51a)…Finished with 1,257 attack attempts and 3.75 kills per game average, which placed tenth and fifth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference respectively…Notched double-digit kill totals in 25 matches, as well as nine double-double totals in kills and digs on the season…Earned the Top Offensive Player Award….Awarded the Missouri-Rolla/Missouri S&T Scholar Athlete Award by the UMR/S&T M-Club.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Was a first-team all-conference selection following the 2006 season at Dunlap High School…also earned second-team all-conference honors after her junior year when she finished third in the conference in kills and honorable mention all-area honors from Peoria Star-Journal…played on the Eastside Volleyball Club for eight years…was a two-time selection to the all-tournament team at her school and also earned two most valuable player awards at the Dee-Mack Tournament…has also competed at the AAU Junior Nationals.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 9, 1988 in Sao Paulo, Brazil…daughter of Luiz and Enia Pelae…majoring in mechanical engineering…older sister, Raisa, played collegiate volleyball at Illinois Tech…chose S&T because it was close to home, the engineering program and the chance to play volleyball.
