2007: Started 34 matches and 115 games as libero…Registered a season and team-high 25 defensive digs versus Belhaven at the Christian Brothers Tournament on 8/25/07…Finished the season eclipsing the half century mark with a team-high 505 defensive digs, averaging 4.39 digs per game, ranking eighth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference…Notched double-digit numbers in defensive digs in 26 of 34 matches, including eight matches with 20 or more digs…Ranked first on the team in service aces with 35, including recording three service aces in three matches on the season…Received “The Rock” Award, for team most valuable and more reliable player, as voted by teammates, while also earning the Top Server, Top Defensive Player and co-Top Passer Awards…Elected Miner Volleyball team co-captain for the 2008 season by teammates.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Was a first-team all-state, all-city, all-state tournament team, and all-Centennial League selection in each of the last two seasons at Hayden High School…team went to the state tournament in each of those two seasons and finished third in the 2006 event...has also played for the Topeka Juniors for seven years with six trips to the national tournament in that span.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Mike and Chele Kuhn…majoring in business and management systems…chose S&T for the atmosphere and the volleyball program.
