(11/8) … Recorded two of her top three hitting performances on the year, hitting .750 (3k-0e-4a) versus Truman State at the Missouri S&T/Holiday Inn Express ‘Middle of Everywhere’ Classic (8/30) and .538 (7k-0a-13a) at Missouri-St. Louis (11/4) … Finished fourth on the team in total blocks with 33 for 0.61blocks per set average.
2007: Played in 33 matches and 83 games as a middle hitter and outside hitter…Registered a career-high five digs, three service aces, and two set assists versus Belhaven at the Christian Brothers Tournament on 8/25/07…Finished second on the team in total blocks (49), solo blocks (11) and block assists (38)…Recorded 118 kills, 382 attack attempts and 17 service aces, finishing fifth on the team in all three categories.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Was chosen to the Southeast Iowa all-district team by the Iowa High School Coaches Association and to the Golden Triangle News Service's all-large school team…also named first-team all-conference in her senior year after being selected honorable mention in the 2005 season….at Mid-Prairie High School, she recorded a .310 hitting percentage with 73 blocks and 290 kills, while also making 54 service aces…played for the Iowa Rockets club team for five seasons; that team qualified for the USAV national championships in each of the last four years…was also a four-time academic all-conference selection.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Ken and Brenda Herington…father played football at the University of Iowa and her brother, Benjamin, was a two-time All-America selection in rugby at Iowa…majoring in biology at S&T with plans to go into pre-medicine.
