ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T women's soccer will hit the road for a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference contests this week, traveling to Southwest Baptist Wednesday before heading to St. Louis to face Maryville on Saturday.

The Miners enter the week with a 3-2-2 overall record and a 2-1-2 mark in GLVC play following a 1-1 draw with Illinois Springfield on Saturday. Adriana Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) still leads the Miners with three goals, while Aubrey Case (Yorktown, VA/Tabb) has added seven points.

"Two tough road games," Head Coach Matthew Perry says. "Any away game in the GLVC is always tough. We need two big performances after a pretty disappointing week, so we are looking forward to getting back out there!"

S&T will begin its road swing Wednesday, traveling to Bolivar, Missouri, to take on Southwest Baptist at 4 p.m. The Bearcats enter the matchup with a 2-5-1 (0-4 GLVC) record after a 2-1 loss against Lewis. Southwest Baptist opened the season with wins over the University of the Ozarks and Hendrix before entering GLVC play.

The Bearcats are led by Juana Fernandez Calvo with two goals and seven points. Lydia Fickle is also tied for two goals. Goaltender Cece Alexander has totaled 24 saves in eight games.

The Miners will then make the trip to St. Louis for a noon matchup against Maryville on Saturday at 12 p.m. The Saints currently own a 2-4-2 (2-1-1 GLVC) record and previously lost to McKendree 2-1 on Sept. 19. They are set to play Upper Iowa on Wednesday.

The Saints are led by Helene Braren, who has totaled nine points, three of them goals. Kelsey Wentland has also added three points. Goalie Agnes Vilen has made 29 saves in the eight games so far this season.

Following Saturday's contest, Missouri S&T will return home to host Drury Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 5 p.m. at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.
