S&T Set for Trio of Matches at Harding Invitational this Week

SEARCY, Ark. — Missouri S&T Women's Volleyball is heading to Searcy, Arkansas, this week to compete in the Harding Invitational, with matches against Union, Southern Arkansas, and Harding on tap.

Friday, September 11 at 11:30 a.m. vs. Union
Saturday, September 12 at 9 a.m. vs. Southern Arkansas
Saturday, September 12 at 2 p.m. vs. Harding

About the Miners
Missouri S&T Women's Volleyball enters the third week of the season with a 6-2 record, the program's best start since 2022. After opening the season 4-0 at the MSSU Tournament, the Miners split their four matches at last week's Reddie-Tiger Invitational, going 2-2 on the weekend.
The Miners currently rank among the top five teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) in service aces, blocks, and points. Elly Decker (Manhattan, IL/Lincoln-Way West) and Chelsea Plunkett (Chesterfield, MO/Marquette) both rank among the GLVC's top 10 in aces per set, helping S&T record 68 service aces, which ranks 23rd in NCAA Division II. Madison Smith (Boonville, MO/Boonville) leads the GLVC in blocks per set and ranks 21st nationally in total blocks, while Adelyn Weiler's (Ste. Genevieve, MO/Valle Catholic) 151 digs rank 20th in Division II.

About Union
The Bulldogs have split both of their tournaments to start the 2026 season, giving them a 4-4 record entering the Harding Invitational. Like S&T, Union has been effective from the service line, averaging 2.31 aces per set. Carleigh Charles leads the Bulldogs in kills per set, averaging 2.65, while Julia Stuible leads the team in blocks per set (0.78) and hitting percentage (.237).

About Southern Arkansas
The Muleriders are 2-7 this season, picking up victories over LeMoyne-Owen and Stanislaus State. The team is averaging 11.88 kills per set, led by Peighton Killeen's 2.69. Brinklee Dauenhauer ranks eighth in Division II for service aces, recording 19 this season, while Courtnee Morgan's 30 blocks rank among the top 50 in the nation.

About Harding
The Bisons are 8-1 this season, dropping just six sets in nine matches. They rank in the top three in the Great American Conference for hitting percentage, digs per set, kills per set, and assists per set. Melaina Haines leads the team in kills and points, averaging 2.93 and 3.5 per set, respectively. Olivia Wiedower ranks 24th in Division II in assists, averaging 9.93 per set.

What's Next
S&T will host Truman State in their home opener next Friday, followed by Upper Iowa on Saturday.
