ROLLA, Mo. — Missouri S&T Athletics welcomes Payton Siebert as its new Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Siebert brings experience at both the NCAA Division III and NAIA levels of collegiate athletics to the Miners' athletics communications team.
"I am super excited to bring my skills to this department," Siebert remarked. "I hope I can make a positive impact on our student-athletes and help make their athletic experience at Missouri S&T a great one!"
Prior to joining Missouri S&T, Siebert spent a season as the Athletic Communications Assistant at NAIA Missouri Baptist University while pursuing her Master of Business Administration in Sports Marketing. With the Spartans, she worked alongside Tyler Andrus, the Assistant Athletic Director for Media and Communications, to provide coverage for all 28 Missouri Baptist sports programs. Siebert served as the primary contact for women's soccer, indoor track and field, cheer, dance, stunt, men's and women's lacrosse, women's basketball, and men's volleyball, while also serving as the secondary contact for football.
Before her time at Missouri Baptist, Siebert spent four years as a women's volleyball student-athlete at NCAA Division III Fontbonne University. During her time with the Griffins, she gained hands-on experience in athletics communications through an internship with the athletics department, working directly with Fontbonne's Director of Athletics and Sports Information Director during her junior and senior seasons.
"We're thrilled to welcome Payton to the Missouri S&T Athletics communications team," said Ryan Luttrell, Director of Athletic Communications at Missouri S&T. "She brings a diverse set of skills and experiences that will strengthen our department, along with a genuine passion for collegiate athletics and storytelling. Most importantly, Payton understands how important it is to put our student-athletes at the center of what we do, and I'm excited to see the impact she'll have as we continue to tell the stories of our Miners."
Siebert will serve as the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, men's golf, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track & field, women's basketball, softball, cheer, and dance.
