4/14/2026 4:30:00 PM

ROLLA, Mo. & CHESTERFIELD, Mo.  --  Missouri S&T Men's Volleyball will play their final two regular season matches this week. They will host Maryville tomorrow at 6pm in Gibson Arena before traveling to Chesterfield on Saturday for another match against the Saints at 2pm in Moloney Arena. The Saints and Miners are currently ranked #1 and #2 in the conference, with this week's matches playing a significant role in determining who will host the conference tournament.

About the Miners
The Miners have cruised to nine straight wins, only dropping three sets in that stretch. They most recently defeated Quincy in a couple of matches, putting up a performance that led to Grant Edmonds (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison) and Aaron Sallade (Palatine, Ill./William Fremd) both earning Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) player of the week awards.

The Miners lead the conference in hitting percentage, kills, and assists, ranking top 13 in the nation for all three statistics, including 5th overall in hitting percentage (.353). Edmonds continues to be one of the top setters in the nation, with an average of 10.62 assists per game that is 3rd best on the national level. Nate Meyer (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) and Sallade both have stayed relevant in the national rankings, with Meyer ranking 13th in hitting percentage (.375) and Sallade ranking 40th in kills per set with 3.29.

S&T leads the conference blocks per set, taking that position from Quincy after sweeping the Hawks in a pair of matches this weekend. Caleb Rohlwing (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) leads the Miners in blocks per set at 1.0, ranking him 21st in the country. Bartosz Chmielewski's (Aurora, IL/Metea Valley) 2.19 digs per set have kept him on the national statistical rankings as well, coming in 21st in Division I/II.

About the Saints
Maryville suffered their first GLVC loss of the season last weekend, falling to Rockhurst in five sets on Friday. They hold a one match lead over the Miners in the standings with an 11-1 record vs conference opponents.

The Saints rank right behind the Miners in almost every category, landing top 15 in the nation for hitting percentage, kills per set, assists per set, and opponent hitting percentage. Makai Scott is the team's biggest offensive contributor, with the junior outside hitter ranking 13th in the country for kills per set (3.77) and 25th in the country for points per set (4.17). Zac Clark and AJ Robateau are the Saints top two on the defensive front, with Clark ranking 25th nationally for digs per set and Robateau ranking 5th in the conference for blocks per set.
