3/5/2026 12:00:00 PM

ST. LOUIS, MO  --  Missouri S&T Men's Basketball is set to take on the Indianapolis Greyhounds in the #4/#5 matchup of the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament Quarterfinals this Friday, with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.

About the Miners

S&T ended their regular season 19-8 with a 13-7 record against GLVC opponents. Indianapolis was one of those seven losses earlier in the spring semester, with the Miners losing to the Greyhounds 72-61. It took one of UIndy's best defensive games of the season to defeat the Miners, holding S&T to a 36.2 shooting percentage, their third-lowest mark of the season.

The Greyhounds successfully bottled up Andrew Young (Ballwin, MO/Marquette) in the January matchup, holding him to single-digit points for the first time in 38 games. Cameron Stovall (St. Louis, MO/Vashon) and Alex Benassi (Lee's Summit, MO/Lee's Summit) co-led the Miners in scoring that game, each scoring eleven. S&T did find success from the three against UIndy, hitting 11 of 27 to shoot 40.7%, their sixth-highest three-point percentage of the season.

About the Greyhounds
Indianapolis went 16-12 this year but ended just above S&T in the conference rankings with a 14-6 GLVC record. They had won five games in a row, including a 79-77 victory against #23 McKendree, before falling to Quincy on a last-second free throw on Saturday.

Junior Shaun Arnold had his best game of the season against S&T, dropping 23 points and shooting 66.7% from the field. The team also played one of their cleanest games of the season, only picking up 12 fouls to limit S&T's opportunities at the free throw line.
